8am

22 Jan

Tuesday marked an abominable day for me. The first day of the spring semester. Why did Christmas break have to end so quickly? All told, the day (and the week) wasn’t bad, just early. Every Tuesday my first class begins at the atrocious hour of 8am. Every other day my classes start at 9am, still disgusting. I haven’t seen that side of the morning in years. I know, most of you get up far earlier than that. But, in my defense, I work until midnight. Lucky me, I get to go straight to bed when I get off work.

Anybody have trouble winding down after work? Yeah, me too. I’m thinking of taking up meditation.

So, my classes are super fun (yes, that’s sarcasm). I’m taking:

Computer Information Systems: This class is slightly comical to me. The course code for this one is MGMT345 and we’re covering Excel and Access. Why is this a Junior level management course? I’m pretty sure I’ve taken this course before, only it was called CIS101. Also, this is at the sick hour of 8am.

Business Data Analysis: I’m kind of looking forward to this one. It’s a statistics course and I’m just that kind of nerd. I’m also highly interested in economics and marketing, both of which rely heavily on statistics. 9am.

Marketing Management: Pretty self-explanitory, but interesting to me nonetheless. 10am

Intermediate German: There are a grand total of ten students and all of them I know from last semester. So that’s a little exciting since it takes me awhile to warm up to new people. My only bummer is that the guy I normally partner with isn’t there. He had a must-take Spanish class at the same time. *Sad face* 11am

So, that’s my life for the next four months. Evidently I’ll be living on RedBull. Maybe I’ll make a series called Totally Tired Tuesdays. I love alliteration.

Happy Semester!

Wow that is a full load of *fun* classes. What are you majoring in, if you don’t mind me asking. Good luck on the new semester. I’m already behind on my grading, but that’s in part to my perpetual bad habit of procrastinating. I thought I’d grow out of it, but…

I am double majoring in International Business and German with a specialization in Econ/Marketing. I’m awful about procrastinating too. I should be doing my German homework right now, but…
