Not All Who Wander

Ashley, a wizard cursed to wander, has been made bitter by the years. One day, he wanders from the road, following the scream of a girl named Jongen and ends up in a trap that leaves them both stranded years ahead of their times.

Other than school papers, this was only the second thing I ever wrote. (The first was a really terrible novel that I’m still trying to get right.) It’s a fantasy novella that falls just shy of 19,000 words. Meant to be a fun story, I wrote it with no outline. So, it’s aptly titled. This is the story that really taught me how fun writing can be.

I am entertaining notions of reworking it now that I know a little more about the craft, but I’m not going to move it back to WIP until I decide to actually do it.
